Cooler Weather ahead and the Beaverhead River is still Red Hot!

Beaverhead River - The upper Beaverhead continues to fish very well.  Strong PMD hatches are making for consistent fishing all day. Just in the last few days we are starting to see more dry fly action.  A week of cooler, cloudy weather should make things even better.  We are also starting to catch fish on hoppers below Pipe Organ Bridge and on the stretches near town.

The negative publicity about trout numbers in the Jefferson River drainage is definitely keeping some anglers away.  We would just like to remind those that might be operating off of some negative information, that the trout population in the upper Beaverhead is well within the parameters of normal, and they are eating very well.
