The Rising Water has Passed
After a tumultuous week of rising flows on the Beaverhead, we've gladly reached the crest. The mornings fished well all through the period as irrigators needed more water in the hot July sun and rising flows hit at mid-day. The afternoons were off, as debris and some down right large pieces of wood entered the water column by afternoon. The river dropped a little today, and the fish responded with gusto. Expect high but stable flows on the Beav over the next week, and dropping flows with stellar dry fly fishing as we enter August and throughout the month.
