The Heat of a Hot Summer

The Beaverhead River is fishing exceptionally well!  There have been no slow days.  The PMDs and Yellow Sallys are out in force.  PMD's before lunch, Yellow Sallys after and through the afternoon.  The evening caddis fishing is great as well.  As I've mentionned in previous posts, we are seeing a lot of anglers on the Beaverhead due to many of our freestone rivers being severly low with high water temperatures harmful to trout populations.  Everyone needs to be polite and courteous of fellow fishermen.  We are extremely fortunate to have a pristine tailwater with cold temperatures and a robust population of fish.

Frontier Anglers has discontinued guided trips on the Big Hole and Jefferson Rivers until conditions improve.  Water conditions in Southwest Montana are near historic lows with well above average temperatures.
