Blue Winged Olives are Hatching

Beaverhead River - Anglers are having some success the last few days taking fish on baetis dries on the Beaverhead in the afternoons.  As always there is a strong nymph bite on olive psycho mays, spanish bullets and zebra midges.  Small natural colored streamers are working as well. We are starting to be very upbeat about the water and snowpack situation in the Beaverhead drainage.  The two most important snow pack gauging sites in the Upper Centennial Valley are at 140% of normal snowpack, with a bunch more on the way this weekend.
