Spectacular Weather!

Spring like, or even early Summer like weather has hit Southwest Montana for an early reprieve from the bitter cold we experienced earlier in the month.  A lot of anglers have been out and about the last week taking advantage of temperatures that have been in the 60's.  The upcoming weeks weather with several days of precipitation forecast are more of what we need to make sure that the fishing remains good throughout through the Summer.  Even with some rain forecast, temops are still goinmg to be very fishable over the next week.

Beaverhead River - The water downstream from Pipe Organ Bridge continues to fish well.  Olive Spanish Bullets, olive Psycho Mays, zebra midges, and hot bead tan sowbugs have been the ticket lately.  Small worms are taking some fish as well.  We are not too far away from from some afternoon baetis hatches that will provide some surface action on cloudy afternoons.

The river below Barrett's Diversion is producing has produced some behemoth browns over the last week as well.  Streamers and worms are the ticket.,

Clark Canyon - The open water at lake along the South shore paralleling I-90 has been fishing very well the last week with fish eating hot bead leeches under an indicator as the top producer.  The warm weather is causing the ice to disappear rather quickly and the reservoir should be ice free relativbely soon.
