Everybody knows Mo.  Not only is the big white beard noticable, but Tim has had more Beaverhead fish in his net than anybody alive - EVER - PERIOD!  Mo has a very relaxed nature, a great sense of humor and more stories about anything you could ever think of.  Mo's been guiding for Frontier Anglers for over 30 years now, and the names of the largest fish are in his personal notebook along with some other nifty doodles and tons of phone numbers.  If you're driving to the Beaverhead you'll pass him on the interstate - but make sure your downstream of Mo on the river or you could have a tough day of fishing!






Matt Bryn

Fun days full of fish always seem to follow Matt wherever he goes.  You will be hard pressed to find a more enjoyable person to spend a day on the river with.  Matt is up for anything... as long as it involves lots of fish.  Matt prides himself on working hard to put fish in the boat, and you'll see what I mean after one day on the water with him.   When Matt's not on the water (flowing or frozen), he's usually in the woods chasing deer and elk around, or driving back and forth to Missoula just about every weekend in the winter.  He's a true "Montana Kid" even though he's 30!  Matt's favorite river to fish is the Big Hole, and there's usually a Royal Stimi or a Yuk Bug on the end of his line.  This is Matt's 8th year with us at Frontier Anglers, and he's been fishing S.W Montana waters since 1998.




Cody Benzel
Cody is a Dillon native and knows the waters and secret spots the way only a local can.  Cody learned to fly fish on the area rivers, streams and lakes.  We're not sure whether he's a ski bum, or fishing bum, but he's great at doing both.  You can always tell when Cody's guiding because his cliets are laughing and their rods are bent.  When he's not working, you can find him on Wednesday nights trying to see how many "Not Responsible" wings he can eat.  This is Cody's 10th year guiding at Frontier Anglers, but he's been working at the shop before he started to shave! 







Joe Aanes
Joe hails from Great Falls MT, learning how to fly fish on the Missouri River and local off the map streams.  Joe's a true trout bum, and a real "Montana Guy".  He's been guiding anglers on Montana waters before he grew the sweet "Stash" and it's getting a little gray now!  Prior to joining Frontier Anglers 15 years ago, he could be found fishing the Bob Marshall Wilderness, floating the Smith and Missouri Rivers, or exploring the beautiful trout streams of New Zealand.  Joe knows everthing about Montana history, the local flora & fauna, and pretty much everything outdoors.  Joe's a master behind the vise, creating his trout proven popular "Mo Joe" series flies.  If you want a great day on the river with an even greater guy, then Joe's your man.  During the off-season, Joe lives in Point Roberts, WA with his wife Maria, and their two boys; Jacob and Luke.





Scott Ferris
Day in and day out, Scott is probably one of the nicest guys you'll find on any river, anywhere in the world.  He is a ton of fun to fish with, and his passion for fishing the waters around here is pretty evident.  He owns his own engineering business, but still manages to guide for us full time in the summer because of his love of southwest Montana's best rivers.  Scott is married to his wife Karen, their daughter Lilly is in College, and their son Ethan is close to graduating high school.
