Smith River Float and Camp Special

Frontier Anglers is offering yet another special for 2013, and this one is really a gem.  The Smith River is one of the most scenic and remote rivers in all of Montana, and a special permit is required to float this river.  Every year, thousands of people put into a lottery in which only a few Smith River permits are drawn.  One of our good friends, Mike Geary, runs one of the few commercial operations that is allowed to float on the Smith River.  He has set aside a number of his Smith River trips for us to extend to our clients and friends.  Every trip is a float/camp type trip, where you will spend 5 days and 4 nights on the Smith River.  The guides will row you down 60 miles of river surrounded by steep canyons and unbeatable scenery, set up camp at each stop, and cook some wonderful campfire dinners.  And how could we forget about the fishing?  While seclusion and scenery are the main draws for the Smith River, the fly fishing opportunities that exist are first-class as well.  Joe Aanes, one of our veteran guides here at Frontier Anglers, guided the Smith River for years and can attest to the unparalled beauty and unique experiences that make a float down the Smith such a memorable trip.

June.  8, 10 ,11, 13, and 16
July.  4 and 10

Remember, the trips are 5 days and 4 nights, so your last night spent camping on the river will be 3 days after your departure.  For example, if you depart May 21st, your last night camping will be May 24th and you will be back into town later in the day on May 25th.
