Beaverhead River

The streamer fishing has really picked up. Even on the sunny days the fish are chasing, but of course the best times are going to be early and late and on stormy days. The river is still around 600 CFS, but come October 1st they will start to drop it to winter flows which are going to be 190 CFS. Some anglers are having a hard time, fishing the Beaverhead now but remember when there is this much water coupled with the abundance of bug life trout are tuned up to bad presentations. So the more you know the more you’ll catch and the larger they’ll be. Simple as that. Hoppers are still around, but changes are coming so look to fish more nymphs and small dries. Stop by the shop and we’ll point you in the right direction. We’re catching some real big boys!
